Tara's Story
Born and raised in Mangham, Louisiana, I grew up surrounded by sales and entrepreneurship. My grandparents owned a grocery store, my grandmother worked at JCPenney, and my dad was a car salesman and general sales manager at Van Trow. Sales ran in the family—my mom was a top seller at Berney’s Furniture and even owned a gift store in Rayville called The Country Cupboard.
I graduated from West Monroe High School in 2000 and went on to study political science at ULM. My career started in political campaigns, where I worked on races for the president, governor, and local judges. Later, I became a personal trainer at the Monroe Athletic Club for seven years before opening my own cheerleading gym, which I ran successfully for a decade. In early 2018, I found my true calling—estate sales.
Since then, my business has grown exponentially. I now manage two to four sales each month, consistently drawing in hundreds of shoppers from Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas. With nearly 20,000 social media followers and advertising that reaches up to 250 miles away, I ensure every sale gets maximum exposure.
My team, who has been with me from the start, works efficiently to prepare each sale from Monday to Friday morning, so we’re ready to open to the public.
